‘Peak of frustration’: BJP leader Sambit Patra slams Rahul Gandhi over ‘selective outrage on EC’; says, ‘Public will start calling you traitor’ | India News

BJP Slams Rahul’s 'Atom Bomb' Voter List Fraud Proof Against EC as Embarrassing Attack on Democracy

NEW DELHI: BJP leader Sambit Patra on Thursday launched a sharp attack on Congress MP and leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi over his recent allegations against the Election Commission of India (ECI), calling his remarks “a peak of frustration” and “election rage.”Addressing a press conference, Patra questioned Rahul’s selective criticism of the EC. “Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party never did any press conference on those states where they won the election,” he said. “The public of the nation is seeing this selective outrage.”Patra pointed out that the Congress celebrated its 99-seat performance in the Lok Sabha elections, yet now questions the EC’s credibility. “If the Election Commission of India is compromised, as he says, then how can they celebrate their victory on 99 seats? This is the peak of Rahul Gandhi’s frustration,” he added. He also questioned why Rahul did not raise objections during wins in Himachal Pradesh or Telangana. “When you win in Telangana and your party forms the government while the BJP loses, show me one press conference where Rahul Gandhi said there was fraud by the Election Commission,” Patra said. “This clearly shows that Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party engage in selective outrage.”Patra further criticised Rahul’s warning that there would be “serious consequences” if the EC did not respond to his allegations. “He said that if the opposition comes to power in the future, they will take action against each official of the Election Commission. Is this the language of the Leader of Opposition? This is a language of election rage,” Patra said. The BJP spokesperson also attacked Gandhi’s credibility. “Rahul Gandhi had to apologise for the kind of language he used to disrespect Veer Savarkar… He also had to apologise for his remarks on China. What is your credibility? His words have no meaning,” he said.Raising further questions, Patra said, “Rahul Gandhi has to submit an affidavit to the Election Commission and get the investigation, then only the truth will come out. Was Pulwama, Operation Sindoor an excuse to eliminate anti-incumbency? This is the reason the Supreme Court asked Rahul Gandhi, are you a true Indian?”He concluded by saying, “The public will start calling you a traitor if you continue down this path.”
