NEW DELHI: Mohammed Shami‘s estranged wife, Hasin Jahan, has accused the Indian fast bowler of neglecting their 10-year-old daughter Ayra’s education while allegedly prioritising his girlfriend’s children’s schooling.The allegations surfaced after Jahan made Instagram posts on the matter. She receives Rs 4 lakh in monthly alimony from Shami, including Rs 2.5 lakh specifically for their daughter’s expenses.According to Jahan’s social media post, Ayra has recently been admitted to a prestigious international school.“The enemies did not want my daughter to get admission in a good school, but Allah foiled their plans, and she has secured admission to a very good international school,” Jahan wrote on Instagram.Jahan also alleged that Shami spends generously on his girlfriend and her children, including business class flights and costly school admissions.“The father of my daughter, despite being a billionaire, is playing with her life because of womanising, while educating his mistress’s children in elite schools. He spends lakhs on business class flights for some mistresses but claims he has no money for his own daughter’s education,” she stated in another Instagram post.

Shami and Jahan’s relationship has been marred by public allegations and legal disputes since their marriage in 2014. Their daughter Ayra was born in 2015.On the professional front, Shami is gearing up for his comeback in the 2025 Duleep Trophy ahead of the Asia Cup.The pacer was left out of the England tour following a modest Indian Premier League season with Sunrisers Hyderabad.As per the alimony arrangement, Shami pays Jahan Rs 4 lakh every month, with Rs 2.5 lakh earmarked for Ayra’s expenses.
