Delhi bomb scare: DPS Dwarka receives threat call; search operations underway

NEW DELHI: Delhi Public School (DPS) in Dwarka received a bomb threat call on Monday, prompting authorities to evacuate the premises as a precautionary measure. According to the Delhi Fire Service, police teams and bomb disposal squads were immediately rushed to the spot and are carrying out searches of the school campus.Earlier, on July 18, more than 20 schools more than 20 schools in the national capital received bomb threats. Among them, Abhinav Public School in Rohini Sector 3 and Richmondd Global School in Paschim Vihar reported receiving emails warning of explosives on their premises. Authorities were immediately alerted, following which teams from the Delhi Police, Bomb Disposal Squad, and Fire Department rushed to the spots. Both schools were swiftly evacuated as a precaution, and extensive search operations were carried out. “Richmondd Global School in the Paschim Vihar area of Delhi received a bomb threat. The fire department and Delhi Police are on the spot,” a Delhi Fire Service official said.(With agency inputs)
