Shooting in West Virginia: 2 dead, three hurt; suspected gunman dead

A shooting in Mount Carbon, a small community in Fayette County, West Virginia on Monday afternoon left two people dead and three others hurt. Fayette County Sheriff Jess McMullen said officers were called to the area after reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they discovered the suspected gunman dead inside his residence. According to police, the man appeared to have taken his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Nearby, officers found another person dead in a carport. Authorities did not immediately confirm the relationship between the two deceased individuals. Three other people sustained minor gunshot injuries during the incident. They were receiving medical treatment and were expected to recover.
