'You look fabulous,' says US reporter who had earlier mocked Zelenskyy — here’s how the suited-up Ukrainian President responded; Donald Trump joins the banter

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy this time did his homework as he arrived at the White House for a high-stakes meeting with Donald Trump, opting for a black jacket, but stopping short of wearing a full suit and tie. Humiliated with his last wardrobe drama at Oval Office, Zelenskyy this time made sure not to repeat the past. His fashion diplomacy on Monday wowed US President Donald Trump and the reporter who ridiculed him for wearing military-style garb instead of a suit in February. The Ukrainian leader was certainly hoping a nice attire could get Trump to help reach a peace deal. Since the news broke about Zelenskyy’s meeting with Trump, people have speculated about whether he would wear a suit this time. But this time, Zelenskyy hit the right spot. When he arrived at the White House, Trump admired his smart black jacket and collared black shirt. “I can’t believe it, I love it!” said Trump. “It’s the best I had,” Zelensky joked.

‘You look fabulous!’

Zelenskyy also got appreciation from the same right-wing reporter who questioned his choice of attire in February. “President Zelensky, you look fabulous in that suit!” said Brian Glenn, the reporter for Real America’s Voice. “I said the same thing,” said Trump, joining the conversation. “That’s the one that attacked you last time,” he added. “I remember,” Zelenskyy said, adding to the American reporter that “you are wearing the same suit” as six months ago.The video capturing the moment has gone viral on social media, where users praised Zelenskyy for being more considerate about his attire this time.
