Sachin Tendulkar had fans laughing on Monday as he hosted a Reddit Ask Me Anything (AMA) session, taking questions about his cricketing journey and beyond. One of the most memorable moments came when a user doubted whether it was really the “Master Blaster” behind the account. The fan wrote: “Sach mein Sachin Tendulkar hai kya (Is it really Sachin)? Please share a voice note for verification.” Tendulkar, true to his calm yet playful style, hit back with a tongue-in-cheek reply: “Abhi Aadhar bhi bheju kya?” (Should I also send my Aadhaar card?). The response instantly went viral, setting the tone for a lively and humorous session. He shared a picture of himself in front of a huge screen, pointing to the question posted by the fan. The 52-year-old fielded a wide range of queries, including a debate about which attack is better — West Indies or Australia. Instead of taking a side, he deflected with humour, writing: “Why? Are you intending to play them?”

Beyond the jokes, Tendulkar also shared insights into his career. Asked about his favourite innings, he picked the knock against England in Chennai in 2008. He also spoke about taking risks against bowlers, recalling one instance in particular: “Yes on many occasions I have played risky shots to break the bowler’s rhythm. The one that comes to my mind is against McGrath at Nairobi in 2000.”

Tendulkar confirmed another famous cricketing tale too, that he had advised MS Dhoni’s promotion in the 2011 World Cup final. “There were two reasons. The left-right batting combination would have upset the two off-spinners. Also, Muralitharan had played for CSK and MS had played him for three seasons in the nets,” he said.
