Mid-air clash: UP MLA Rakesh Pratap Singh pushed by passenger on Air India flight; flyer booked

LUCKNOW: A 26-year-old passenger was booked by Sarojininagar police following a mid-air altercation with an Gauriganj MLA Rakesh Pratap Singh aboard Air India flight AI 837 from Delhi to Lucknow. Passenger, Samad Ali of Fatehpur, was returning from Jeddah via connecting flight. According to Singh, Ali used abusive language while talking on phone. When Singh confronted Ali, he allegedly argued with the MLA and pushed him. After arriving in Lucknow, Singh reported the incident to the police and lodged a formal complaint. Authorities said the man has been taken into custody for questioning. Singh, a three-term MLA from Gauriganj Sadar, first won his assembly seat in 2012.
