Puerto Rico is US territory and Bad Bunny is a Puerto Rican-born US citizen and cannot be detained by ICE on citizenship. An adviser to Homeland Security claimed ICE agents may be dispatched to the Super Bowl during his performance. ‘I’m never performing in the US again’

Bad Bunny said he would not be performing in the US because he was scared that ICE might raid the venue putting his fans in danger. “Mainland America just doesn’t feel necessary to me anymore,” he said adding that he performed in the US several times and his fans got enough chance to enjoy his live shows. “I can’t in good conscience keep putting you at risk just to perform in mainland US,” he said adding that his music is about love and not fear.
