On October 10, as per a statement given to Fox News by his family, the legendary musician passed away at the age of 82. They shared that the singer passed away peacefully. Their statement read that he “peacefully slipped away surrounded by his loved ones and the sounds of The Everly Brothers and Buddy Holly.”He is survived by his wife, Kirsten Lodge, as well as their two children, Emily and Kristian Lodge, his son-in-law and Emily’s husband, Jon Davison, and his grandson, John-Henry. Their official statement concluded on a heartfelt note saying, “We are heartbroken, but will walk forward into peace surrounded by the love he had for each of us. As John would always say at the end of the show, Thank you for keeping the faith.”

John Lodge is best known as part of the iconic British rock band The Moody Blues. He was born on July 20, 1943, in Erdington, Birmingham, and was known to incline towards music from the get go.Some of his favourite artists that became a big inspiration for him at the time were Buddy Holly and Jerry Lee Lewis. He joined his rock band The Moody Blues in 1966, when previous members of the band, Denny Laine and Clint Warwick. He met his bandmate, Ray Thomas, when they were 14, who helped him join the group in the first place. Over the years in his tenure as a musician, Lodge worked on a lot of successful records, such as the ‘Days of Future Passed’, ‘Octave’, ‘In Search of the Lost Chord’, as well as the group’s final studio album, ‘December’, which was released in 2003.
