Bhopal: After fight over ‘change’, delivery boy returns with 8, thrashes 2 helpers of bizman; case filed

BHOPAL: Employees carrying delivery bags of a quick commerce company beat two helpers of a businessman and created ruckus at a house in a posh colony in Kolar. This happened a while after one of the delivery boys went to deliver a parcel and entered into an argument over change on Sunday.More than eight people holding sticks in their hands, with the delivery bags of the company in question on their shoulders, created a ruckus for over half an hour, cops said. They beat two people and also misbehaved with a woman. The incident was reported at Kolar police station on Sunday. The investigating officer of the case, assistant sub inspector Santosh Kumar, told TOI that a delivery boy went to deliver a parcel worth Rs 474 at the house of a businessman. The businessman’s wife came out to receive the parcel. The dispute started over not having change for payment. However, the payment was made after a brief argument. But after some time, the delivery boy Ashish returned with a number of delivery boys from the company and they beat two people, identified as Heera and Dushrath. Both are helpers of the businessman and were sitting outside his home at the time of the incident.ASI Santosh Kumar said the delivery boys fled the spot while a case was registered at Kolar police station. A video of the incident later went viral in the city.
