What started as a simple refuelling at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport quickly devolved into a slippery mess when a ground worker lost control of the hose — sending jet fuel flying and social media buzzing.A video on social media is going viral, showing a ground worker losing control of a fuel hose while refueling an American Eagle aircraft on Saturday, resulting in jet fuel spraying uncontrollably from the nozzle as the hose viciously snaked beneaththe aircraft.The worker appeared to walk away from the scene as large pools of the flammable fuel began to form. A spokesperson for Dallas-Fort Worth Airport stated that the airport’s spill containment infrastructure managed to capture the spill and that the surface was subsequently cleaned. The exact amount of fuel spilled remains unclear. “We are looking into the incident with DFW Airport and the airport’s fueling contractor, Menzies, and worked together on the cleanup per procedure,” American Airlines said. Menzies did not respond to a request for comment by the time of publication.
