After Bill Gates, another ex-Microsoft boss under fire for sending ‘animal genitalia’ photos in birthday letter to Jeffrey Epstein

Former Microsoft chief technology officer Nathan Myhrvold is under fire after allegedly sending a disturbing birthday letter to convicted sex offender and pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. The letter reportedly included graphic photographs of sexual acts and animal genitalia. It was allegedly taken during a trip to Africa, according to the Seattle Times. The letter was included in a 238-page book released by Congress last month and referred to Epstein as Myhrvold’s so-called lifestyle advisor. “A few years ago somebody at a party asked me, ‘Does Jeffrey Epstein manage your money?’” Myhrvold reportedly wrote. “I replied ‘No, but he advises me on lifestyle’. The guy’s eyes bugged out of his head and he said ‘REALLY?’”Flight logs from the 1990s indicate that Myhrvold flew on Epstein’s private jet, “Lolita Express,” on two occasions. He reportedly flew with Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and two others from Fort Knox, Kentucky to Teterboro, New Jersey on December 9, 1996. He also flew from Newark to Titusville, Florida in January 1997. These flights were documented in Virginia Giuffre’s 2015 defamation suit against Maxwell. Giuffre was a prominent advocate for survivors of sex trafficking and a key accuser in the Epstein scandal. She died by suicide on April 25, 2025, at her home.Myhrvold has said that he and Epstein were only “passing acquaintances” and that he regrets knowing him. He has not addressed the content of the birthday images he is accused of sending.Microsoft founder Bill Gates’s reputation has also suffered because of his close ties to Jeffrey Epstein. Gates has said he regrets the friendship and there is no suggestion he acted improperly. However, his ex-wife Melinda has said that the friendship contributed to the breakdown of their 27-year marriage.
