He was outstanding in a 40-point performance that helped the Dallas Mavericks lose handily. Due to serious injury concerns, the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs will now play each other on Thursday at Frost Bank Centre. 8:30 PM ET is the tipoff time. Unfortunately, De’Aaron Fox will not be participating.
De’Aaron Fox’s multimillion San Antonio Spurs journey faces an unexpected early pause
Both the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs, who play each other on Thursday at Frost Bank Centre, have serious injury worries. 8:30 PM ET is the tipoff time. Tyler Herro will not be playing for Miami due to a left ankle injury that will require surgery. Due to a right groin strain, rookie Kasparas Jakucionis is also sidelined, and Norman Powell is labelled as doubtful. Terry Rozier is on unpaid leave due to a federal gambling investigation, and Nikola Jovic is still questionable due to a right hip injury. De’Aaron Fox wasn’t playing for the Spurs. Fox is sidelined due to an injury. He suffered a hamstring injury during training camp, which he is currently managing. Dylan Harper, the No. 2 overall pick, and Stephon Castle saw much greater playing time in the backcourt when Fox was benched. Additionally, it gave Devin Vassell additional minutes.Due to a right hamstring injury, De’Aaron Fox has missed the first four games. Before Spurs head coach Mitch Johnson reminded everyone that it’s just October and implied the team was probably going to take a cautious approach with Fox, who received a four-year, $229 million maximum agreement this offseason, he stated last week that he felt “close” to returning. The Spurs have not provided a clear schedule for Fox’s comeback. It can take some time for a quick point guard like Fox to recover fully from a torn right hamstring. The Spurs will have to do with playing without Fox for the time being. Stephon Castle will probably continue to play point guard for the Spurs as Fox is out once more, and Harper may continue to play a significant role off the bench.
