Chhattisgarh Foundation Day: PM Modi announces projects worth Rs 14,260 crore; inaugurates new Assembly building

On the occasion of the 25th Chhattisgarh Foundation Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the state for a day-long celebration and inaugurated multiple development projects worth ₹14,260 crore. During his visit, as a part of ‘Dil Ki Baat’ programme, he interacted with children successfully treated for congenital heart disease, and unveiled a statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at the new Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha building. The PM is also set to hold a roadshow.Welcoming PM Modi‘s visit, CMO Chhattisgarh posted on X, “Heartiest welcome and congratulations to the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, on the sacred soil of Chhattisgarh.”

The Prime Minister first interacted with 2500 children who were successfully treated for congenital heart disease in the ‘Gift of Life’ ceremony at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar. He then inaugurated the ‘Shanti Shikhar Brahma Kumaris Meditation Centre.Addressing the event, PM Modi promoted the mantra of development of the country through development of states. He also said that India has come forward as a first responder during any global crisis. “Today, whenever there is a crisis or a disaster anywhere in the world, India, as a trusted partner, immediately steps forward to help, reaching out immediately. India is a first responder. Amidst today’s environmental challenges, India has become a leading voice for nature conservation across the world. It is essential that we conserve and enhance what nature has given us, and this will only happen when we learn to live in harmony with nature,” said PM Modi.Prime Minister then unveiled Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s statue as he inaugurated the Chhattisgarh assembly’s new building.PM Modi is set to attend the Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav. There is shall lay the foundation of multiple projects worth Rs 14,260 crore, including inaugurating the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial and the Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum in Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur.
