Tejashwi Yadav vows to make Bihar India’s number one state

PATNA: INDIA bloc’s chief ministerial candidate, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, has vowed to transform Bihar into the country’s number one state, unveiling a broad vision centred on employment, education, healthcare and industrial growth. In an interview to TOI, Yadav rejected criticism of his job promise, saying those who once dismissed his pledge of 10 lakh jobs as “impossible” are now talking about creating one crore jobs. He said the RJD-led alliance has already prepared a blueprint to provide govt jobs to every household in Bihar that currently has none.

‘Bihar Got Not Even 1% of Gujarat’s Share’: Tejashwi Yadav Explodes at PM Modi

Dismissing the “jungle raj” charge frequently raised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah, Yadav termed it “propaganda” from RJD’s political rivals. “True superiority comes from one’s actions, not from birth,” he said.He added the RJD’s support base is not confined to Yadavs and Muslims. “The RJD has always been an inclusive party representing all sections of society, not just the Muslim-Yadav base,” Yadav said, adding the party “truly belongs to everyone.”Yadav said his goal is to build a Bihar where no one has to migrate for work or studies. “The people of Bihar want change and we are getting a great response everywhere,” he said.“My age may be young, but my promise is mature,” he said when asked about the feasibility of his job pledge.Yadav accused the NDA of lacking both a vision and a road map for Bihar’s development, alleging that the BJP’s industrial focus remains limited to Gujarat. “At present, Nitish Kumar has been reduced to just a puppet. The BJP is running the govt… we even have sympathy for Nitish Kumar, considering his current condition. After the 2025 elections, the JD(U) will not survive,” Yadav said.He added, “Amit Shahji and the BJP are clear that Nitish will not become chief minister again. It is totally clear. He will meet the same fate as Eknath Shinde ji.”Responding to his elder brother’s party, Janshakti Janata Dal, fielding candidates against the RJD, including in his Raghopur constituency, Yadav said, “That’s alright. In a democracy, everyone has the right to form their own party and contest elections. Yes, it would have been far better if the things that happened had not happened, but this is the reality, and we have to accept it.”
