The moment marked a new chapter for Indian cricket — but fans may have to wait a little longer before seeing the champions parade the trophy through the streets.“Nothing like a victory parade is planned as of now,” Saikia said while speaking from Mumbai airport. “I’m leaving for Dubai to attend the ICC meetings. Several senior officials are heading there as well, so once we return, we will plan accordingly.”The ICC meetings, scheduled from November 4–7 in Dubai, will occupy most of the BCCI’s top brass this week. Once concluded, the board is expected to chart out the official celebration plans, including a potential felicitation ceremony for Harmanpreet Kaur’s trailblazing team.Saikia also confirmed that the BCCI would raise the issue of the missing Asia Cup trophy with the International Cricket Council. “We will take up the Asia Cup trophy matter with the ICC and hopefully get our trophy back with the respect and honour it deserves,” he added.Meanwhile, to mark the women’s team’s historic feat, the BCCI has announced a Rs 51 crore cash prize for the players, coaches, and support staff. “Harmanpreet Kaur and her team haven’t just won a trophy, they’ve won the hearts of all Indians,” Saikia said, calling the triumph “a new dawn” for women’s cricket in the country.
