Ric Flair’s latest remarks about Hulk Hogan’s final days erupted into a full-scale dispute, pulling two wrestling icons into an unexpected public clash. The WWE Hall of Famer suggested that Hogan’s reliance on “street drugs” played a role in his passing. Hogan’s widow, Sky Daily, instantly rejected his claim without hesitation. Her response reshaped the conversation and forced Flair to explain how he reached such a serious conclusion in the first place. The back-and-forth has now put new attention on Hogan’s medical care and what his family says actually happened. At the center of the issue sits a gap between what Flair believed he was told and what Hogan’s family says is the truth. Hogan died at 71 on July 24, and his cause of death was recorded as a heart attack. His widow insists he was closely monitored by doctors in Florida in the days leading up to his death and maintains that Flair’s version of events never occurred.

Flair first shared his account during an appearance on the DOUBL3 COVERAGE podcast, saying he talked to Hogan the day before he died and learned about the wrestler’s declining condition. He claimed Hogan’s doctor had stopped providing pain medication for his accumulated injuries, which pushed him toward alternative methods to ease the constant discomfort. That’s when Flair suggested “street drugs” may have been involved.Sky Daily dismissed that portrayal in full. She told TMZ Sports, “That didn’t happen at all.” She also disputed the idea that Flair spoke with Hogan during his final day, adding that Hogan was under continuous supervision at Morton Plant Hospital and not left to fend for himself. According to Sky, the only medication adjustments involved protecting Hogan’s lungs after a neck procedure. Two additional family sources echoed her account and said Flair received inaccurate information. The family expressed no anger toward Flair and acknowledged the long friendship between the two men. Still, they wanted the narrative corrected because they believe the claims paint an untrue picture of Hogan’s final stretch.

Ric Flair responds after the reaction from Sky Hogan

After Sky’s comments gained traction, Flair moved to soften his position on X. He wrote, “Okay Sky! I Got Bad Information According To You. I Should Have Never Mentioned It. I Have Known Hogan Since 1979. Let’s Move Past This And Concentrate On His Legacy. Period, End Of Story. Let’s PRESERVE HIS LEGACY Rather Than Dwell On Any Negative Energy. I Repeat- Hulkamania Forever!”His follow-up positioned the situation as a misunderstanding rather than a conflict, though the initial claim continues to stir debate among fans. Sky previously signaled she was “planning” a malpractice lawsuit in August, though its current status remains uncertain. Also Read: Paul Heyman finds himself in a viral moment after forcefully pushing young fan away from Logan Paul during tense Survivor Series exit
