Twitch star Imane “Pokimane” has gone viral once again after making a personal confession about her lifestyle choices. Recently, a short video of the streamer began circulating across X, TikTok, and Instagram. In the one-minute-14-second clip, Pokimane shared what she described as a “secret” with her fans, sparking widespread discussion online within hours.In the viral video, the 29-year-old streamer said she is “really into celibacy.” She explained that pacing herself when it comes to intimacy has many benefits. Her comments quickly drew strong reactions from both supporters and critics. The video also added to her recent string of viral moments, including her self-proposal on TikTok in November.

Pokimane explains why she supports and chooses celibacy over a real relationship

In the clip, Pokimane openly explained her views on celibacy and intimacy. She told her viewers, “Can I tell you a secret? I’m really into celibacy. And that can range from not kissing on the first day to saving yourself for marriage. It’s a whole spectrum. And honestly, there are so many upsides to pacing yourself when it comes to intimacy. For starters, you can avoid becoming attached to the wrong person. We all know what that’s like. And that’s because both physical and emotional intimacy releases oxytocin, which makes you feel connected to someone, even though you may not be compatible. We often think that falling in love is a mystical, rare experience, but sometimes it’s really just hormones and chemicals.”She also said that staying celibate helps her focus on her personal goals. Pokimane added, “2 – I get to preserve my energy, and instead of constantly pouring it into someone else, I can focus on the things I want to accomplish first. A surefire way to avoid an emotional vampire is simply not to get so close that they can sink their teeth into you.”Later in the video, Pokimane spoke about the emotional safety she feels from her decision.
