Olympic gold medalist Suni Lee found herself in the middle of a small online storm after a simple spelling mistake caught the attention of fans. A pop culture page on X shared a video of Lee dancing with rapper Ice Spice. The clip was meant to promote Ice Spice’s new song with Tokischa, titled ‘Thootie’. However, the page misspelled Lee’s surname in the caption, which quickly upset many followers.Instead of “Suni Lee,” the post referred to her as “Suni Li.” The mistake spread fast as fans rushed to the comments to defend the gymnast. While some focused on the error, others celebrated the unexpected collaboration between the Olympic champion and the pop star.

Some fans chose to enjoy the collaboration itself. One user commented, “Ice Spice linking up with an Olympic gold medalist was NOT on my 2025 bingo card.”This was not the first time Suni Lee and Ice Spice crossed paths. Back in October, the two met during Paris Fashion Week. They went viral after posting a TikTok dancing to ‘Baddie Baddie’.
