Four men rescued from boat teetering on dam edge

Footage shows captured the moment four men were pulled to safety, after spending hours dangling off the edge of a 40m (130ft) dam in South Africa.

Rescuers from the National Sea Rescue Institute (NRSI) arrived at the Grootdraai Dam in Mpumalanga on Monday after reports that a boat had suffered motor failure, before drifting to the edge of the dam.

The NRSI credited quick-thinking employees who opened sluice gates on the spillway, to stop the boat being swept away by the heavy waterflow. The men were reportedly uninjured.
