Conservative pundit Megyn Kelly has once again found herself in the midst of a social media storm. The 55-year-old political commentator made a sarcastic remark on the fatal shooting of another Minneapolis resident, Alex Jeffrey Pretti on her X account, leading to much uproar. On Saturday, Pretti, a 37-year-old ICE nurse, was shot dead by ICE officers who pinned him to the ground as per the videos of the incident circulating online. He allegedly “approached US Border Patrol officers with a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun,” as per DHS, while video evidence does not show him brandishing it at the officers.
Responding to Minnesota governor Tim Walz’s demand for ICE to leave the state following the incident, Kelly posted a sarcastic remark on X. “.@realDonaldTrump should pull ICE out of MN today & announce that there will be no more immigration enforcement in MN at all.” she wrote. “All illegals in the US are encouraged to move there. And if any illegal is found outside of MN & gets deported, they can never apply for re-entry.““Moreover, every single asylum seeker in the USA should be told no applications will be considered unless the person is living in Minneapolis/St Paul,” she added in the comments.
