YouTuber Adam the Woo, whose real name was David Adam Williams, died from natural causes, his family has now confirmed. He was 51 years old. Adam was found dead at his home in Celebration, Florida, on Dec. 22, just one day after he posted his final YouTube video. In a Facebook post shared on Monday, Jan. 26, Adam’s father, Jim Williams, said an autopsy showed Adam died from atherosclerotic and hypertensive cardiovascular disease. He explained that the condition caused a heart attack while Adam was asleep.The update ends weeks of questions from fans who followed Adam’s daily travel videos for years. His father also asked people to stop guessing and remember Adam with love. The details were shared publicly to bring peace to those who cared deeply about him. Adam had a strong online following and was known for sharing calm, everyday moments from his travels. His sudden death shocked fans across the world.

Jim Williams said the autopsy report made it clear that his son died from natural causes. In his full statement, he wrote, “The short answer is… natural causes.” He added, “Our beloved son… your beloved friend… died, in essence, of a heart attack in his sleep from health issues he probably never knew he had.”Jim also shared that, despite the pain, he felt grateful about where and how Adam passed away. He wrote, “Now, we can all stop guessing. Be grateful the Lord allowed him to die at home and not in a foreign country.” He continued, “Be grateful he was found by friends and not some nameless stranger.”According to the Mayo Clinic, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease happens when plaque builds up in the arteries. This can raise blood pressure and increase the risk of a heart attack. These conditions often exist together and can go unnoticed for years.The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Adam’s death to PEOPLE. Deputies said a friend checked the home after not hearing from him. Fire Rescue later confirmed he had died. TMZ was the first to report the news.Adam started his YouTube channel Adam the Woo in 2009 and later launched The Daily Woo in 2012. Together, the channels had over 1.2 million subscribers. His final video, posted on Dec. 21, showed Christmas decorations in Celebration, Florida.
