CJ Roy, founder and chairman of real estate firm Confident Group, was found dead at his Bengaluru office on Friday, police said.Authorities believe it may be a case of suicide, but the final determination would be made after the post-mortem examination.According to police, Roy sustained bullet injuries from his licensed firearm at his office near Richmond Circle in the city, prompting suspicion that he may have shot himself.After a gunshot was heard, staff members rushed to his room and found him lying in a pool of blood. He was immediately taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead.Earlier in the day, the Income Tax Department reportedly conducted searches at his premises.Who was CJ Roy?Chiriankandath Joseph Roy was born in Kerala and raised in Bengaluru. He pursued his education in France and Switzerland and later worked for Fortune 500 company Hewlett-Packard. He eventually returned to India to start his own business.
