Maxx Crosby is reportedly rooting for Seattle Seahawks’ Sam Darnold over New England Patriots’ Drake Maye. This clear preference led The Rush Podcast co-host Darien Terrell to say, “[Darnold] He doesn’t have to wear it all on his shoulders, JSN [Jaxon Smith-Njigba]’s gonna be there.”“I feel that JSN is unreal,” Crosby chimes in. “He’s had a crazy year, bro. He’s been going nuclear, and clearly they knew in that front office how good he was by letting DK [Metcalf] go, and Tyler Lockett go, and just seeing him explode into being that number one receiver that clearly they saw him being. You got to give them a lot of credit, too.”

Five-time Pro Bowler Maxx Crosby shared that Jaxson Smith-Njigba went nuclear [solo] in the 2025 season. He was picked by Seattle in 2023 NFL Draft as their first-round, 20th overall pick. The two-time Pro Bowler recorded 59 receptions, 850 receiving yards, and six receiving touchdowns in 2025.The Seahawks’ front office knew how good Smith-Njigba was because they let wide receiver DK Metcalf go to the Pittsburgh Steelers and wideout Tyler Lockett to the Tennessee Titans for the 2025 season. Metcalf, 28, was drafted by the Seahawks as the 64th overall pick in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He played for them till 2024. After six seasons with the Seahawks, he was traded to the Steelers.

Lockett, 33, had been with Seattle since he was drafted in 2015 as the 69th overall pick in the third round. [Wright], Bobby [Wagner], Russ [Russell Wilson]. I appreciate the city too. The city is amazing. I’ll always view Seattle as a college town. Maybe this isn’t the end, maybe it is, but I always will be a Seahawk through and through.”In Apr. 2025, Lockett signed a one-year, $6 million contract with the Titans. However, in Oct. 2025, NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported on X that the veteran wide receiver asked for and received his release from Tennessee. A user quickly commented, “The 20th straight retirement home receiver to sign with and fail miserably with the Tennessee Titans.”Another user shared a picture of Tyler with former Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll and captioned it “Raider.” The coach will not be there now, but in 2026, the wideout may play for the Raiders. Looks like Crosby will get to play with Lockett in Las Vegas! Again. The Raiders signed Lockett in Oct. 2025, and he played ten games for them in 2025 season accumulating 22 passes on 34 targets for 221 yards and a score. However, on Jan. 9, 2026, CBS Sports reported that Lockett is set to become an unrestricted free agent, though retirement could be a possibility.
