On the Multi Commodity Exchange, April delivery gold contracts moved higher by Rs 1,044, or 0.68%, closing at Rs 1,53,880 per 10 grams, with a total trading volume of 1,538 lots. Analysts noted that the increase was mainly due to participants building new positions.
