JEE Main result 2026 has been released on the official website

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 session results on the official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in on February 16, 2026. Candidates who have taken the exam can visit the official website to download the scorecards. Aspirants can check their results from the official portals: jeemain.nta.ac.in and ntaresults.nic.in. Students can use their application number and date of birth to log in to the sites. The final answer key has also been released on the official website.JEE Main 2026 Session 1 was held between January 21 and January 29, 2026, across 10 shifts. Paper 2 for BArch and BPlanning candidates took place on January 29. Around 13.5 lakh students had registered for the examination, and more than 13 lakh ultimately appeared.The provisional answer key was published on February 4, with candidates allowed to raise objections until February 6 by paying ₹200 per question. After examining the challenges, the NTA finalised the answer key.The JEE Main exam scorecard will comprise all the required credentials such as NTA percentile scores, All India Rank (AIR), category-wise rank performance, and subject-wise performance on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Candidates can follow the steps mentioned here to download the JEE Main session 1 result 2026 from the official website:

  • Go to the official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in or ntaresults.nic.in
  • On the homepage, click on the link that reads “JEE Main 2026 Result”
  • Enter your application number and date of birth
  • Complete the CAPTCHA or security verification
  • Click on the Submit button
  • The scorecard will appear on the screen
  • Download the PDF and save it
  • Take two to three printouts for counselling and admission purposes

Alternatively, candidates can click on the link provided here to download the JEE Main Session 1 result 2026.It is important for candidates to understand that JEE Main results are announced in percentile scores and not in raw marks. Although raw scores are finalised after the release of the final answer key, percentiles are calculated using a normalisation formula across multiple shifts. As a result, students with similar raw marks may end up with different percentiles depending on the difficulty level of their respective shifts.The top 2.5 lakh candidates in JEE Main 2026 will become eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2026. For students of the General category, a score in the range of 90–100 marks out of 300 normally means a percentile of approximately 93–95 or above, although this may change each year.The result of Session 1 shall be used for admissions to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, and will also determine eligibility for JEE Advanced. Session 2 of the JEE Main 2026 shall be held from April 2, 2026, onwards to April 9, 2026.
