ESPN will premiere NWSL: The Final Third on February 25, a three-episode documentary following the Kansas City Current, Angel City FC, and the Washington Spirit as their 2025 seasons unfolded. Director Marie Margolius described the storytelling scope, saying, “The three teams we embedded with were navigating very different realities as the 2025 regular season concluded. The drama that unfolded was incredible to witness.”The Current’s inclusion shows that it is both doing well in business and becoming more culturally important.
