ALAPPUZHA: A probe has been launched after human body parts were found under a train coach on Saturday, police said.According to the Alappuzha Railway Police, a human right arm and a toe were found lodged on an iron bracket beneath the auxiliary reservoir tank of the S-5 coach of the Alappuzha–Dhanbad Express.The body parts were discovered by cleaning staff early in the morning when the train was stationed at the pit-line yard.The train had arrived in Alappuzha from Dhanbad on Friday evening and was scheduled to depart again on Saturday morning.Railway police have registered a case of unnatural death and launched an investigation. An inquest will be conducted as part of the probe.Officials said they will also seek information from police in other states to determine whether any deaths were reported along the route the train had travelled in recent days.
