KHARGONE: Filmmaker Sanoj Mishra, who launched ‘Kumbh girl’ Monalisa Bhonsle in his film ‘The Diary of Manipur,’ has demanded an investigation into her age following reports of her recent marriage.Speaking to TOI, Mishra claimed that Monalisa was a minor at the time of Maha Kumbh, alleging that her age was around 16 years during the event. “I am reaching Maheshwar to meet her family members and demand that actual age of Monalisa be determined through a medical examination,” he said.

Mishra alleged that documents may have been altered to facilitate the marriage. “If she is found to be a minor, legal action should be taken against her ‘husband’ Farman and others involved under relevant sections of the law,” he said.The filmmaker alleged that the marriage was part of a “planned conspiracy” aimed at disrupting his film project. According to Mishra, certain groups allegedly orchestrated the marriage to prevent Monalisa from working in his film.
