NEW DELHI: Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday lashed out at Rahul Gandhi over his allegations of voter fraud, sharply criticising the Congress leader’s claims against the Election Commission of India (ECI).Also Read | ‘Polls choreographed, BJP safe from anti-incumbency’: Rahul Gandhi launches big ‘voter fraud’ attack against EC “Rahul Gandhi needs to get his brain checked. Either his mind is stolen or there is a chip missing from his brain — that’s the reason he is making such comments,” Fadnavis told reporters, dismissing the accusations as “baseless.”The BJP leader’s remarks followed Gandhi’s press briefing, in which the leader of ppposition in the Lok Sabha accused the ECI of “colluding” with the BJP to “steal” elections, particularly in Maharashtra. Gandhi had earlier promised to drop what he termed an “atom bomb” of evidence against the poll panel. Reiterating his charge, the Raebareli MP claimed recent results in Maharashtra, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh confirmed electoral malpractice and justified the Congress-led opposition INDIA bloc’s concerns. The Election Commission has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and rejected all allegations of bias or fraud.
