NEW DELHI: A man recently turned his divorce into a celebration, sharing a video of himself performing a traditional milk bath ritual, or ‘Abhishekam.’ The ritual was followed by cutting a celebratory cake that read, “Happy Divorce 120 gram gold 18 lakh cash.” The video, posted on the Instagram account of user @iamdkbiradar, shows him smiling as his mother pours milk over him, a ritual symbolising purification and a fresh start.He captioned the post, “Single hoon, Khush hoon, Azad hoon. Meri zindagi, Meri rules, Single aur Happy,” expressing his joy after the divorce. The viral video gained millions of views with a range of reactions online. Some praised the man for his positive outlook, others criticised the display.Furthermore, the man posted a follow-up video thanking his supporters and encouraging others to see divorce not as an end, but as an opportunity for a fresh beginning. As fans joked that comedian Vir Das resembled the man performing the unusual ritual, Das shared the video himself with the caption, “Not me.”
