National Commission for Women flags lapses, seeks fast-track trial

National Commission for Women (NCW) has termed the gang rape of the medical student as a case of “brutality” enabled by “administrative and security lapses”, while recommending her transfer to AIIMS-Bhubaneswar or Kalyani for treatment and relocation to another college to continue her studies, if she felt unsafe. It has also recommended trial in fast-track court.
