'Called anti-Sanatan': Gwalior top cop Hina Khan chants 'Jai Shri Ram' amid confrontation with lawyers

GWALIOR: Tensions ran high in Gwalior on Monday evening as a dramatic confrontation unfolded between a senior police officer and a lawyer, with both chanting “Jai Shri Ram” in front of a stunned crowd. The incident occurred near Phoolbagh, where advocate Anil Mishra, former president of the local lawyers’ association, had gathered with supporters to recite the Sundarkand from the Ramayan. Senior police officer Hina Khan intervened, citing ongoing prohibitory orders and tightened security across the city. Eyewitnesses said Mishra accused Khan of being “against Sanatan Dharma” and began chanting “Jai Shri Ram.” To the surprise of onlookers, Hina Khan responded by chanting the slogan herself, later asking Mishra, “what else,” before turning to manage the crowd.
