The 22-year-old walked in at No. 4 after the dismissal of Lhuan-dre Pretorius and immediately stamped his authority on the game. Brevis launched into Aaron Hardie in the 10th over, producing a remarkable three sixes that brought the crowd to its feet. Brevis eventually fell in the 12th over for 53 off 26 balls, a knock laced with six sixes and a four. His dismissal came courtesy of a sharp catch from Glenn Maxwell at long-on.
