Delivery scam: Bengaluru techie loses Rs 1.86 lakh; unboxes tile instead of smartphone

BENGALURU: A techie in Bengaluru lost Rs 1.86 lakh in a delivery scam after receiving a tile instead of a smartphone he had ordered online. According to police, the victim, identified as Premamananda, had ordered a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 on an e-commerce platform. However, when the courier arrived, he was shocked to find a piece of tile in place of the high-end smartphone. Following the incident, Premamananda filed a complaint with the KS Layout Police, who have registered a case and launched an investigation into the fraud.
