'Lured him to Café trap': Bengaluru man stalks TV actor, sends vulgar clips; arrested after she turned the tables
Bengaluru man, Naveen K Mon, was arrested for stalking and sending obscene content to a TV actress

BENGALURU: A 41-year-old man, who stalked a television actress and sent her obscene videos, was recently arrested in a dramatic manner.The accused is Naveen K Mon, a resident of Whitefield and employee of a consultancy services firm. Despite being warned and blocked by the actress, he continued to torment her, sending obscene videos and photographs from different accounts. The harassment began three months ago, after she rejected a friend request on her Facebook account from a profile named Naveenz. She then received messages from the same profile on Messenger but did not respond. He then began sending obscene messages and pictures daily. After warning him to stop sending such messages, she blocked him.He subsequently created multiple profiles and sent obscene messages through them. Disturbed, the woman decided to find out who the person was and meet him in person to give a stern warning. She sent him a message asking him to meet her at a restaurant in Nagarabhavi.On Nov 1, he arrived at the location and sent her a message. She met him around 11.30am and warned him to stop sending messages, making it clear he was sexually harassing her and she was not interested in his friendship. When he responded rudely, she called the cops.According to a senior police officer, Naveen behaved rudely with the cops as well, shouting in filthy language and falsely claiming he was associated with two reputed national newspapers. The cops subsequently arrested him and a case was registered under BNS sections 75 (sexual harassment), 78 (stalking), and 79 (word, gesture, or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman). The devices used to send the obscene messages have been seized and sent to FSL for data recovery. He has been remanded in judicial custody.
