Delhi chokes again: AQI at 311 with 26 of 38 stations in ‘very poor zone; Bawana most polluted
The CPCB classifies AQI levels between 301 and 400 as ‘very poor’, while 401–500 falls in the ‘severe’ range.

NEW DELHI: Delhi’s air quality remained in the ‘very poor’ category on Friday, with the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) standing at 311 at 9am, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). As per news agency PTI, out of 38 monitoring stations across the city, 26 reported ‘very poor’ air quality, while Bawana topped the pollution chart with an AQI of 366, followed by Jahangirpuri at 348.

The CPCB classifies AQI levels between 301 and 400 as ‘very poor’, while 401–500 falls in the ‘severe’ range.Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that Delhi’s minimum temperature dropped to 12.7°C, around 1.6°C below normal, with humidity at 67% at 8.30 am. The maximum temperature is expected to reach around 26°C.The IMD also predicted shallow fog through the day, causing low visibility in several parts of the city.(With agency inputs)
