Ex-MLA from UP booked for raping woman in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: Karnataka Police booked a 51-year-old former MLA from UP on charges of raping a 40-year-old woman inside a Bengaluru hotel room after promising to marry her.The woman filed a complaint Sunday against Bhagwan Sharma alias Guddu Pandit from UP’s Gautam Buddha Nagar district. “We are issuing a notice to the suspect, directing him to appear before us for investigation,” police said.
