BENGALURU: Amid the ongoing chaos caused by IndiGo canceling numerous flights across India, Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) — both Terminals 1 and 2 — turned into scenes of frustration and exhaustion. Hundreds of stranded passengers chanted “Down Down, IndiGo” following multiple cancellations since December 2. The widespread operational disruptions left travellers confused, hungry, and, in many cases, without access to basic facilities.NO SANITARY PADS, NO ASSISTANCEA young woman, having run out of sanitary napkins, found the airport pharmacy completely out of stock. Frustrated, she approached staff for help but received no assistance.

Her father, angered by the lack of support, confronted the pharmacy and IndiGo officials, demanding answers. In a video, he was seen shouting, “Sister, my daughter needs a sanitary pad,” while protesting the unavailability of basic necessities for passengers.FACING ARDUOUS BUS JOURNEYPriyansh Vijayvargiya, a distance MBA student from Indore, is growing increasingly anxious about his IndiGo flight scheduled for Saturday. The same flight was cancelled on Dec 3 and 4, and he is yet to receive any communication from the airline regarding the status of his journey. Priyansh contacted his college for guidance but was told that his exams on Dec 8 would proceed as planned, leaving him with no flexibility. With uncertainty mounting, he is now considering an arduous alternative: taking a bus to Hyderabad and then another long bus ride to Indore.Meanwhile, passengers complained of worsening conditions at both terminals. “I haven’t had food in seven hours. Every restaurant is out of food,” said Karan Bora, a passenger heading to Madhya Pradesh. “The crowds are so big that even water kiosks are empty.”Several others were seen strug gling with medical needs. “I’m diabetic. I need my medicines every four hours,” said Revathi Narayan, a 67-year-old traveller who was waiting since Thursday night, after her luggage was checked in and she could not retrieve it.
