Haryana seeks ICU CCTV feed to 'curb Ayushman misuse'

GURGAON: Haryana govt has directed hospitals empanelled under Ayushman Bharat (AB-PMJAY) to place all beneficiaries admitted in intensive care (ICU) and high dependency units (HDU) under continuous live CCTV surveillance and to share the feed with the state health agency for verification, monitoring and processing claims. The directive, issued on Wednesday by Ayushman Bharat-Haryana Health Protection Authority CEO, stated the move is aimed at curbing misuse of the health insurance scheme and “strengthening oversight” of empanelled hospitals.
