Cessna crashes in Odisha near Rourkela with 6 onboard; no casualties

NEW DELHI: A Cessna Grand Caravan EX (VT-KSS) with two crew members and four passengers onboard crashed near Rourkela in Odisha on Saturday. Luckily, no casualties or serious injuries have been reported so far. The injured have been taken to hospital. Headed from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela, the pilots issued a May Day call after encountering a snag. They landed the aircraft in an open field about 20 km short of Rourkela at 1.20 pm.According to tracking site Flightradar24, the IndiaOne Air Cessna took off from Bhubaneswar at 12.26 pm for Rourkela as I7102. IndiaOne Air is an Ahmedabad-based regional airline. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is going to issue a statement shortly.
