Man forced to chant religious slogan, lynched

Three suspects were arrested in Odisha‘s Balasore Thursday for allegedly lynching a 33-year-old man after a video emerged of the victim being asked to chant a religious slogan and being assaulted the previous day. The victim, Sheikh Makarand Muhammad of Astia village, was a helper in a pickup van that was waylaid for ferrying cattle. He was attacked with sharp weapons and pipes, cops quoting the man’s brother said.
