Kim Kardashian BREAKS SILENCE on removing Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's photos from Kris Jenner’s birthday party

Kim Kardashian finally broke her silence about why photos of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry disappeared from Instagram after Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party, and honestly, the reason’s a lot less dramatic than everyone thought.

What happened at the ‘Photogate’ party

So, here’s what actually went down. Back in November 2025, Kris threw this over-the-top James Bond-themed birthday bash at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s place in Beverly Hills. The guest list was wild: Oprah, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Serena Williams—you name it. And yeah, Harry and Meghan showed up too. Kim and Kris both posted pictures from the night, and a few shots had Meghan and Harry in them. But not long after, those pics just vanished. Cue the internet’s endless theories.People started calling it “Photogate,” but Kim finally set the record straight on Khloé’s podcast. She said it was all just a misunderstanding—nothing shady, no drama. In fact, according to Kim, they were told it was fine to post the photos. Meghan and Kris have been friends for a while, so it wasn’t weird or anything. The real issue with the photos? It was the timing. The posts went up right around Remembrance Day, November 11, which is a big deal in the UK. It’s a day to honor members of the armed forces who lost their lives, so not exactly the best time to look like you’re out partying. Kim said that once Harry and Meghan realized the timing, they just didn’t want people to get the wrong idea. Out of respect, Kim and her family took down the photos. Simple as that.Kim explained it this way on the podcast: “We took them down to respect Remembrance Day. It was really innocent, which is so crazy. Mom and Meghan have been friends for years; they have a sweet relationship.” She also pointed out that they never post anything without first getting the green light.Kim figured Meghan and Harry just had a change of heart once they saw the posts and remembered the date. “I think they realized it was Remembrance Day, and they didn’t want to be seen at a party,” she said. “Even though it was already up, once they realized, it was like, ‘Oh, this was so silly.’”Kim also mentioned that Meghan and Harry had gone to a Baby2Baby gala before the party, which was a fundraiser, and felt totally fine, but the birthday party was a little too lively for Remembrance Day.“So, we took them down,” Kim said, “to respect Remembrance Day.”

Where things stand now

About all the backlash and gossip, Kim said the whole thing got blown way out of proportion. She “hated how that was received for everyone,” and joked that maybe they should have just run with it and made a cheeky SKIMS ad out of it instead. But people just ran with the wrong story. She added, “It was just made into something that was so crazy and ridiculous that it just didn’t have to be.”As for the rumors about drama, consent forms, or bad blood? Kim shut all that down. She said there’s no issue at all between the Kardashians and the Sussexes. Meghan and Kris are still good, and really, it just came down to showing respect for Remembrance Day.
