Kuwait-Delhi flight carrying 180 passengers diverted to Ahmedabad following bomb threat

NEW DELHI: An IndiGo flight operating from Kuwait to Delhi was diverted to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad on Friday morning after a bomb threat was reported on board. According to news agency PTI, the aircraft, carrying 180 passengers, landed safely at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport around 06.40 am. Authorities said the flight was diverted as a precaution after a passenger discovered a handwritten note claiming that a bomb was on the aircraft. The pilot alerted air traffic control, and the plane was redirected to Ahmedabad. All passengers were safely evacuated on landing, and security personnel conducted a thorough search of the aircraft. Officials confirmed that no suspicious objects have been found so far. The flight is expected to resume its journey to Delhi after receiving clearance from security authorities.
