Accordingly, they scaled the compound walls of an independent house on Chokkanahalli Main Road, Sampigehalli, and started stealing electrical materials found outside. However, the occupants of the house, a couple, were alerted by the noise. The latter rushed out and shouted at the trio. Instead of fleeing, the three decided to silence the couple and charged at them. “We attacked them, and Razak hit the man on the head with a beer bottle, injuring him. The bottle piece caused a wound on the face of the woman next to him. When they shouted for help, neighbours and others rushed in. My associates ran away, and I got caught and was assaulted. One of those gathered there beat me on the head with a wooden log,” Khan stated, appealing to police to take action against his attackers.Similarly, the house owner too filed a complaint against Khan and his two associates, saying they beat him and his wife with a beer bottle. Based on the couple’s complaint, who first registered the case, cops had arrested auto driver Khan and his associates, all residents of RT Nagar. They were handed over to judicial custody at Bengaluru Central Prison. DCP (north-east), Mithun Kumar GK, said they are investigating the case.
