Tamil Nadu polls: TVK chief Vijay to contest from 2 seats, Perambur and Trichy East

CHENNAI: Ahead of upcoming Tamil Nadu polls, TVK chief Vijay on Sunday announced that he will contest from Perambur and Trichy East.He said “it will be C Joseph Vijay,” from Perambur in Chennai and Tiruchirappally East.Reiterating that the electoral fight was between his “people’s alliance TVK and Stalin sir alliance,” he slammed the ruling DMK-led bloc as a mere “patch-up.”

“I have selected as candidates, those who would stand with people,” he said.Unveiling an agenda for youth, what he described as “guarantee,” Vijay promised, among others, steps for drugs-free TN, collateral-free loan guarantee up to Rs 20 lakh from Class 12 to PhdThe party also announced candidates for several other constituencies. N Anand has been fielded from T Nagar, while Aadhav Arjuna will contest from Villivakkam. KA Sengottaiyan has been named the candidate from Gobichettipalayam, and Arun Raj from Tiruchengode.CTR Nirmal Kumar will contest from Tiruparankundram, while VS Babu has been fielded from Kolathur. Rajmohan will be the party’s candidate from Egmore.
