Forces zero in on terror hideout in ‘track & kill’ op in Kishtwar

JAMMU: Continuing its drive against terror ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district, security forces cordoned off a hideout in a forested area in Dul Monday to smoke out two heavily armed terrorists who opened fire on a ‘track & kill’ team, triggering an encounter Sunday.“The terrorists are believed to be hiding in a cave on a hillock of Dul forest. Reinforcements from Army, special operations group (SOG) of J&K police, and CRPF rushed to the encounter spot early morning to resume the operation,” an official said.Since Aug 9, police have been conducting surprise raids on locations linked to terrorists operating from Pakistan and PoK, and also to eliminate local overground and underground support to terror network.
