PUDUKOTTAI: Minister T R B Raaja’s son on Monday refused to accept a medal around his neck from former BJP state president K Annamalai and instead received it with his hands.Annamalai was presenting prizes to the winners of a 51st state-level shooting competition in Avarangudipatti at Pudukottai, organised by the Tamil Nadu Shooting Association and the Royal Pudukkottai Sports Club. In a video, Annamalai can be seen attempting to place a medal on Suryaa Rajaa Baalu, the DMK minister’s son, but he accepted it with his hands instead. However, he later posed for a photograph along with the other winners and the former BJP state president. Later Annamalai also participated in shooting exercises. The competition started on Aug 22 and will continue till Aug 28.Speaking to reporters in Madurai later in the evening, Annamalai said it was the minister’s son wish and it did not really matter to him that he refused to get the award.
