NEW DELHI: Former Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai on Tuesday accused the ruling DMK of promoting “goondagiri,” alleging that a party councillor and his associates assaulted a man in Tiruvarur.Sharing a video on social media platform X, Annamalai claimed that DMK ward councillor Purushothaman and his group attacked a resident for objecting to a banner being placed in front of his house.

“From ministers to councillors, goondaism is DMK’s political culture. Your party that thrives on thuggery and violence cannot hide behind staged apologies,” Annamalai wrote, tagging chief minister M K Stalin in his post.
