Sharma is currently representing India A in the ongoing unofficial ODI series against Australia A. The second match of the series, held at Green Park in Kanpur on Friday, coincided with his sister’s wedding, forcing him to prioritise cricket over family celebrations.

It was an unfortunate outing for Sharma, who was dismissed for a golden duck, a rare low in an otherwise promising run for the youngster.
